Introduction

At Insight Driven MarTech ("IDM", "we", "us", or "our"), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application, web application, browser extension, and website (collectively, the "Services").

We believe that privacy is a fundamental right. IDM is designed with a privacy-first approach, your audit data stays on your machine unless you explicitly choose to upload it to our cloud services.

1.1 Information You Provide
  • Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your email address, name, and organization details.
  • Profile Information: You may optionally provide additional information like company role and industry.
  • Communication: When you contact us at support@idmartech.com, we collect your messages and any attachments.
  • Billing Information: We do not collect or store payment card details. All payments are processed securely by LemonSqueezy.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
  • Basic Telemetry (Opt-Out): By default, we collect anonymous basic telemetry to improve IDM Crawler. This includes:
    • App version and operating system
    • App launch events (to count active users)
    • Crash reports (error type only, no stack traces)
You can disable this anytime in Settings → Privacy.
  • Full Analytics (Opt-In): When you enable telemetry in settings, we additionally collect:
    • Crawl statistics (pages crawled, scripts found, duration)
    • Feature usage counts (cloud sync, exports)
    • Performance metrics
No URLs, domains, or personal data is ever collected.
  • Device Information: Operating system, browser type, and application version.
  • Log Data: IP address, timestamps, and error logs for debugging (respects privacy mode).
1.3 Audit Data (Your Content)
  • Local Audits: Your audit results are stored locally on your device. We never have access to them unless you upload.
  • Cloud Uploads: When you explicitly upload audit results, they are stored on our secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Website URLs: The URLs you audit are stored as part of your audit history (only when uploaded to cloud).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To Provide and Maintain Services: Process your audits, store cloud data, and deliver reports.
  • To Process Payments: Payment processing is handled by LemonSqueezy. We receive only your subscription status and billing history.
  • To Improve Our Services: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and performance.
  • To Communicate: Send account notifications, security updates, billing reminders, and support responses.
  • To Comply with Legal Obligations: Respond to lawful requests from authorities.
  • To Protect Our Rights: Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
2.1 Telemetry & Product Improvement

IDM Crawler uses PostHog to collect anonymous telemetry. We have two tiers:

  • Basic Telemetry (Opt-Out, Default On): Helps us understand how many users are actively using IDM Crawler and what issues they encounter. This is anonymous and cannot identify you.
  • Full Analytics (Opt-In): When enabled, helps us understand feature usage and performance. This is completely anonymous and never includes URLs, domains, or crawl data.

What we NEVER collect: Personal information (email, name), URLs, domain names, page content, passwords, or your crawl data.

You can change your telemetry preferences anytime via Help → Privacy Settings in the desktop app.

3. Data Storage & Security

3.1 Local Storage (Desktop Crawler)

IDM Crawler stores all audit data locally on your computer. We never have access to your local audit results unless you choose to upload them. You can delete local data at any time by clearing the application data folder.

3.2 Cloud Storage (WebApp)

When you upload audit data to the WebApp, it is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard AES-256 encryption for stored data and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. Your data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure (Firebase/Google Cloud Platform) with regular security audits.

3.3 Payment Data

IDM does not collect, process, or store your credit card or payment details. All payment information is collected directly by LemonSqueezy, our secure payment processor. LemonSqueezy is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant. We receive only your subscription status, billing history, and invoice references, never your full card details.

3.4 Data Retention
  • Starter Plan: Local storage and 30-day cloud retention.
  • Professional Plan: 90-day cloud retention for uploaded audits.
  • Agency Plan: Unlimited cloud retention.
