Introduction

At Insight Driven MarTech ("IDM", "we", "us", or "our"), we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application, web application, browser extension, and website (collectively, the "Services").

We believe that privacy is a fundamental right. IDM is designed with a privacy-first approach — your audit data stays on your machine unless you explicitly choose to upload it to our cloud services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide
  • Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your email address, name, and organization details.
  • Profile Information: You may optionally provide additional information like profile photo, company role, and industry.
  • Communication: When you contact support, we collect your messages and any attachments.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
  • Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage statistics to improve our Services.
  • Device Information: Operating system, browser type, and application version.
  • Log Data: IP address, timestamps, and error logs for debugging.
1.3 Audit Data (Your Content)
  • Local Audits: Your audit results are stored locally on your device. We never have access to them unless you upload.
  • Cloud Uploads: When you explicitly upload audit results, they are stored on our secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Website URLs: The URLs you audit are stored as part of your audit history (only when uploaded to cloud).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To Provide and Maintain Services: Process your audits, store cloud data, and deliver reports.
  • To Improve Our Services: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and performance.
  • To Communicate: Send account notifications, security updates, and support responses.
  • To Comply with Legal Obligations: Respond to lawful requests from authorities.
  • To Protect Our Rights: Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

3. Data Storage & Security

3.1 Local Storage (Desktop Crawler)

IDM Crawler stores all audit data locally on your computer. We never have access to your local audit results unless you choose to upload them. You can delete local data at any time by clearing the application data folder.

3.2 Cloud Storage (WebApp)

When you upload audit data to the WebApp, it is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard AES-256 encryption for stored data and TLS 1.3 for data in transit. Your data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with regular security audits.

3.3 Data Retention
  • Starter Plan: Local storage only (no cloud retention).
  • Professional Plan: 90-day cloud retention for uploaded audits.
  • Enterprise Plan: Unlimited cloud retention.
  • Account Data: Retained until you delete your account or request deletion.
Security Note: We undergo regular security assessments and vulnerability scanning. Your data is protected by industry-standard security measures.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. Period. We only share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing.
  • Service Providers: Trusted third parties who assist with hosting, analytics, and support (they are bound by confidentiality agreements).
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition (you will be notified).

  • Analytics: You can disable anonymous usage analytics in application settings.
  • Marketing Emails: Click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email.
  • Cookies: Manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will delete it.

7. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and WebApp to:

  • Authenticate users and maintain session state.
  • Remember preferences and settings.
  • Analyze website traffic anonymously.
